Heritage Cottage is a small piece of Highlands History! This quaint little cottage is made up of two cottages joined together with an additional living area. Tucked into the side of a little hill within walking distance to everything Highlands has to offer- fine dining as well as hamburger places, pubs, brewery, churches, library, eclectic shopping experiences from T-shirt places to upscale clothiers and furs.
Heritage Cottage has two bedrooms and two baths, and each have access to a joined covered porch. The larger bedroom is the more private bedroom and has a Queen bed and small bathroom with tiled shower. The second bedroom has Queen bed, a small bathroom with tiled shower as well, and is the main access/walk/thru from the kitchen/living area to the first bedroom. There's a large folding screen in this room to be used if you'd like for more privacy.The kitchen also serves as the dining area and has just about everything you'd need except a dishwasher. The living area is 3 steps up from the front door entrance and has comfortable seating, a sleep sofa, Cable TV, WiFi, gas log fireplace and an entrance to the open deck with seating for two and a gas grill. There is a little grassy yard beside the home for lawn games. There is no central A/C at this property, and if you cook and eat here, you will need to wash your dishes, as there's no dishwasher (but you're SO close to restaurants)
This is an older home that has had many renovations over the years, but still holds its uniqe character. It's not trying to be a five star hotel suite, and wants its guests to relax, enjoy and repeat.
This home has a three- night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS.
The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.
Like all of the properties we manage, your reservation is contingent on being accepted by the owner or the property manager on behalf of the owner. We follow all guidelines with Federal and NC Fair Housing Laws, and will not discriminate against:

All renters, no matter where they start will sign a vacation rental lease. It doesn't matter if you have already read, or agreed to any other kind of lease through the third party site (like VRBO). All vacation rental leases adhere to the NC Vacation Rental Agreement Act. When you sign the lease, which is between you (as renter) and Chambers Realty & Vacation Rentals (as Landlord on behalf of the property owner), you are agreeing to our terms. You will not be charge by us until you have seen the lease. If you have any questions about our policies or our lease you need to contact us, not the third party site (like VRBO). It is our full intent to retain any renters gained by using third party sites (like VRBO) for future rentals, and possibly as future home owners as well. *Rentals for the following year are a one month minimum until February 1st of the rental year. Beginning in February, we start renting with a one week minimum. Rentals of less than one week can be booked within 30 days of the desired dates. You can always contact us to be put on a waiting list. Since we work on behalf of our rental owners, our first priority is to keep their homes filled with happy renters.
