Relax in simplistic mountain charm at Shanor Cottage. Virtually all on one level, there are three bedrooms and two and one half baths and a wall of windows to enjoy the mountain scenery. The updated kitchen is next to the dining area that seats four comfortably and both are open to the large living area with comfortable seating, stone wood burning fireplace and TV. There is a stone patio with a place for dining outdoors. The entrance to the master bedroom has a sitting area and an entrance to the front patio. The Mst. BR is one step up from the ground level and has a full bath with tub/shower, a King bed. The second BR has 2 twins and a TV, the third bedroom is one step up and has two twins, as well as a half bath and laundry room.
This cottage has WiFi, Cable TV, and air conditioning. Three portable ceramic heaters do an excellent job of keeping the chill away in cold weather. This home is usually winterized during the colder months, and cannot be rented.
The combined textures lends itself to an open cottage feel; there are lots of windows, some slate floors, some tile floors, the living area has higher open rafter ceilings. Furnished eclectically from 1950’s to present. Pets are allowed with a $150.00 non refundable pet fee. Firewood can be ordered for you (ask your reservation planner about pricing). There is enough room for two ‘normal’ size cars under the carport where there is a gas grill available.

Pets are OK with a non-refundable pet fee and pet policy signed attached to your lease. (Pets must be leashed at all times when outside. Rolling Acres is an excellent walking area, and there are other people with dogs in the neighborhood.)
This home has a three- night minimum, except for HOLIDAYS AND SOME LOCAL EVENTS.
The rental app you are using may allow you to make two or three-night rentals during these times, but that doesn't mean the reservation will be honored.

All renters, no matter where they start will sign a vacation rental lease. It doesn't matter if you have already read, or agreed to any other kind of lease through the third party site (like VRBO). All vacation rental leases adhere to the NC Vacation Rental Agreement Act. When you sign the lease, which is between you (as renter) and Chambers Realty & Vacation Rentals (as Landlord on behalf of the property owner), you are agreeing to our terms. You will not be charge by us until you have seen the lease. If you have any questions about our policies or our lease you need to contact us, not the third party site (like VRBO). It is our full intent to retain any renters gained by using third party sites (like VRBO) for future rentals, and possibly as future home owners as well.
