George's Landing

George’s Landing is a wonderful home with a fantastic mountain view and set up high on 4+ wooded acres for optimum privacy.

Note: NOT handicap accessible, BUT main level has two easy steps to enter and has 3 BR/2 baths, kitchen, laundry, garage (two steps down) and deck.) So, this home is almost handicap accessible on the main level.

Main level has great room with vaulted ceilings and lots of glass to take in the views. There’s a stone fireplace (wood-burning with gas starter), WiFi SDTV/DVD/Stereo -all with surround sound. There’s also a small video library so you can have a movie night without leaving home. Dining area, open kitchen, split bedroom plan – with Mst. BR (King), private bath with soaking tub and walk in shower, TV on one side and two bedrooms (2 twins in each) with full bath in between on the other side. Deck can be accessed from two bedrooms and the great room and is partially covered. Ceiling fan, charcoal grill and table and chairs are on the deck.There is also a mudroom/laundry room and two-car garage. The lower level has another family room with 55 inch 4K HDTV/DVD/surround sound , and two bedrooms (King with private bath on one side and 2 Twins with private bath on the other side. WIFI with streaming capabilities Alarm system. Just added Hi-def TV throughout.


October, Holidays and events are ONE WEEK minimum, otherwise- three nights minimum

You may inquire about bringing your pet, but it's usually a 'NO'
NO SMOKING INSIDE (none at all preferred)

*During snowy times- you may need a four wheel drive for this one- otherwise low gear maneuvers well- anyway you get there- it’s worth the trip!

  For more than 6 years, our family has gathered at George's Landing. The house is perfect for our yearly reunions. We have many memorable moments at this special place. My favorite time was watching great nieces and nephews launch Monarch Butterflies off the porch and into the trees below.
  I highly recommend spending time at George's Landing

  Actually quite nice. Addressing the nits: accessing the TV was more than a simple task and took us more than an hour, consulting with a subscriber to Yahoo TV in Atlanta. Finally succeeded but it should not be that difficult.
  
  The management company should have called and talked to us about its unilateral change from the property we rented to the one that we did not. But it worked out.

  George's Landing was perfect for our group of six, with room to spare. In addition to exploring Highlands and Cashiers, we enjoyed gathering on the upper porch for meals, wonderful views from the top of the mountain, moon rises and sun sets. It was a short drive to town, the Nature Center, and the Bascom Art Center. I always depend on Chambers Realty to provide lovely, clean, and comfortable vacation properties in Highlands!
